Could you write some words of wisdom on.. 'How to survive having a baby?'

I received a text message asking this very same question. First thought was.. Probably not - it was such a long time ago, but then, rather tongue-in-cheek came the following offering:

How to survive having a baby
1. Announcing the arrival – not necessary – they announce their own arrival.
2. Sleepless nights – let’s face it, it’s either them or you
and it’s got to be you because you are the one who has to function next day.
3. Get lots of rest or your poor old body won’t produce that baby juice.
4. Rocking or rolling are indispensable aides to sleep – get wheels/rocker for the carry cot.. you can almost sleep while
rocking or rolling.
5. Do what’s necessary and never mind the rest.
6. Enjoy every little fascinating facet of the babe’s development – they are PRECIOUS MOMENTS and fly so fast.
7. Get into the habit of reading ‘Leading Little Ones to God’ with chorus and prayer from the earliest bedtime days.
